Meet the Coaches

  • Travis Larsen

    Sr I Legion
    Head Coach

    Travis played his high school baseball in Shakopee where he was a 3 year starter as a catcher.

    He played his post high school ball at Mankato and then townball with the Shakopee Indians where he was an outfielder.

    Travis is employed by District112 as a teacher and on the coaching staff of both the baseball and basketball high school teams in Chanhassen.


  • Drew Hanbury

    Sr I Legion Assistant Coach

    Drew was a four year starter at the Varsity level for Shakopee as a Pitcher/SS 2013 - 2016

    He then played Townball for the Shakopee Indians from 2017 - 2021 where he was a relief pitcher and 3rd baseman.

    Drew attended Winona State earning a degree in Accounting and currently is employed by Fairview Health Services as a Sr. Financial Analyst.

  • Jack Nemetz

    Sr II Legion
    Head Coach

    Jack is a former Chanhassen standout who spent his summers playing for the Post 580 Chanhassen Cavaliers. He went on to play college baseball for the Duluth Bulldogs as a Catcher 2021-2024 and earned a degree in Criminology.



  • Andrew Mahlke

    Sr II Legion
    Assistant Coach

    Andrew, another Chanhassen standout alum who played first base for the Storm and Legion Cavaliers and then went on to play for the St. John Johnnies in the MIAC, again holding down 1B from 2020-2024 while earning his degree in Economics.

  • Ryan Schutter

    Junior Legion
    Head Coach

    Ryan is a current sophomore catcher and pitcher on the Gustavus Adolphus baseball team. He also plays townball as the starting catcher for the Rockford Crows.

    A former Chanhassen graduate, Ryan played for the Chanhassen Legion program and helped Chanhassen High School to a 3rd place finish in the Minnesota state baseball tournament.

  • Simon James

    Junior Legion
    Assistant Coach

    Simon a current sophomore on the Gustavus Adolphus baseball team as a left-handed pitcher and outfielder. He is a baseball instructor at the 507 Baseball Academy.

    Simon graduated from Mound West-Tonka High School and is studying secondary education, intending to teach and coach baseball after graduation.
